AIMOINO (or AMIONE) OF FLEURY. - Born of noble family in Périgord, he entered Fleury around 980 and died there around 1008. By order of his abbot Abbo, he composed: *Historiae Francorum libri IV*, which has come down to us in two different versions, the first of which is the only authentic one; *Translatio patris Benedicti*, a poem of 200 hexameters on the famous translation to Fleury; *Miracula s. Benedicti libri II*, a continuation of the work of two other monks of Fleury; *Sermo in festivitatibus s. Benedicti*; *Vita et martyrium s. Abbonis abbatis* (d. 1004), an excellent biography of his patron.
