SPECIAL ADMINISTRATION OF THE HOLY SEE. — It is an office, with its seat in the Vatican City, established by the Supreme Pontiff Pius XI by his own motion on 7 June 1929, for the management of the funds paid by the Italian government to the Holy See in execution of the Financial Convention annexed to the Lateran Treaty of 11 February 1929, and to carry out other administrative tasks. Article 2 of the Fundamental Law of the State of the Vatican City, 7 June 1929, no. 1, has included this administration among those directly dependent on the Supreme Pontiff.
