ANGIFFILO DELLA ROCCA, Amico. — Cardinal, born in Roccadimezzo in Abruzzo, died in L'Aquila on 28 October or 9 November 1476. He was canon of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome, then bishop of L'Aquila (1431); in 1464 cardinal of Santa Maria in Trastevere and in 1467 of Santa Balbina. He held an important political position in the Papal States and in the Kingdom of Naples, where he was advisor to Alfonso V and to Ferdinand the Catholic. He was buried in the cathedral of L'Aquila.
