ANNCHIER (ANSCHIER), PANTALÉON. — Cardinal, originally from Troyes. He was archdeacon of Laon. In December 1262 he was created cardinal by Pope Urban IV, his uncle, with the title of S. Prassede. He completed and consecrated the collegiate church of S. Urbano founded by his uncle in Troyes and, in the same city, had a small church built as a subsidiary of the parish of S. Giovanni. In 1266 he was sent by Clement IV, together with other cardinals, to crown Charles of Anjou king of the Two Sicilies. He died in Rome on 1 November 1286 and was buried in S. Prassede.
