ANNECLLE OF THE SANCTUARY. – Religious institute founded in Piacenza in 1882 through the efforts of Monsignor Santo Giuseppe Masnini de Cornati, with the approval of Bishop Monsignor Scalabrini. The sisters dedicate themselves to the teaching and Christian instruction of youth, as well as to the care of the sick and elderly and to assistance in orphanages and seminaries. It was approved by the Holy See in 1930 and today has 25 houses with 200 religious.
