BIEBUYCK (BIBIATUX, BIDIAT, BIBANCE), GUILLAUME. - General (36th) of the Carthusian Order, d. 24 July 1535. B. at Thielt, in Flanders. Around 1500 he took the religious habit at the Charterhouse of Ghent; in September 1521, while prior of the Charterhouse of St Gertrude’s Mount (Holland) and visitor of the Belgian Carthusian Province, he was elected general of the Order.
He wrote: *Sermones et Orationes ad Fratres de vitae spiritualis profectu* (Antwerp 1539, 1610); *Fasciculus desuper dilecti Filii Dei sacratissimae et acerbissimae Passione* (16th-cent. ms., in-12°, in the library of Grenoble); *Sequentia in honorem s. Joachim Patris B.V.M.*, published at the end of the *Vita Christi* by the Carthusian Ludolph (Paris 1599, Lyons 1510, Venice 1566, Antwerp 1619, etc.); *Sermones capitulares domus Carthusiae*; *Orationes capitulares* (Antwerp 1610).
