CONTESTAZIONE ECCLESIASTICO (IL)

ECclesiastical Contestations (Il). — A review, first biweekly, then monthly, dedicated to doctrine and jurisprudence in ecclesiastical matters and pious works. It was founded in 1900 in Genoa under the direction of Prof. Luigi Gallo by a group of lawyers forming the Office of Ecclesiastical Contestations (C. E.), which had been established in 1893 by the archbishop of that diocese, Tommaso Reggio, for the defense of the interests of ecclesiastical bodies and charitable institutions, and for related consultancy. It ceased publication at the end of 1942.
