DIOMIRA MARIA OF THE INCARNATE WORD, Venerable. — Capuchin Poor Clare nun, in the world Maria Teresa Serri, born in Genoa on 27 February 1708 to Swiss parents, died at Fanano (Modena) on 14 January 1768. She entered the monastery at Fanano (Modena) in October 1730, where she served as novice mistress and superior.
A precious spiritual document is her autobiography, written at the order of her confessor. The cause of beatification was introduced by Leo XIII on 21 December 1901.
