EPANAGÓGE (ἐπανάγχος, τοῦ νόμου). - A compilation, probably of an official nature, which is a reworking of the Prochiron, promulgated around the year 885, during the reign of the Byzantine emperors Basil, Leo, and Alexander. It is believed that the preface was written by Photius, Patriarch of Constantinople.
