ERNERSBERGER, HUGO. – Priest and writer, born at Engen on 21 Sept. 1841, died at Bruchsal on 24 Feb. 1904. Professor in secondary schools, he published a description of the liturgical manuscripts held in the Regional Library of Karlsruhe: *Bibliotheca liturgica manuscriptorum* (Freiburg in Br. 1889) and another of 54 liturgical manuscripts in the Vatican Apostolic Library: *Libri liturgici Bibliothecae Apostolicae Vaticanae ms.* (ibid. 1897). He also concerned himself with local ecclesiastical history in Baden and the growth of Catholic printing in the region.
