AGE (Hebr. 'Étan, Vulg. Etam). - Name of two Libyan localities.
1. City of southern Judah, near 'En-Rimmon, transferred from Judah to Simeon (1 Chron. 4:32); today Tell Ejtam, about 10 km south of Hebron, near Tell Beit Mirsim. To this locality is connected, it seems, the "rock of E." where Samson took refuge (Judg. 15:8-13).
