JOHN of Scythopolis. — Bishop of the 6th century. The first commentator on the Pseudo-Dionysian writings. He wrote around 530 against Severus of Antioch and another work against Eutyches and Dioscorus, according to the testimony of Photius (Bibl., cols. 95; PG, 103, col. 340 ff.).
