PETER (CAMBIANI) OF RUFFIA, Blessed. — Dominican preacher, born in Ruffia (Cuneo) at the beginning of the 14th century, martyred in Susa on 2 February 1365.
Having devoted himself to preaching, he converted many heretics, but others, obstinate in their heresy, slaughtered him in the convent of the Friars Minor in Susa. His body was taken to the church of the Dominicans in Turin. Pius IX approved his cult, and his feast was fixed on 7 November and permitted to the dioceses of Turin, Saluzzo, and Susa.
