SATTRO, SANTO

SATYRUS, Saint. — Brother of St. Ambrose, born about 334. He was a lawyer and provincial prefect.

When Ambrose was elected bishop of Milan, he entrusted to him the administration of the family estate. To collect money from a certain Prosperus, he went to Africa, but on his return he suffered shipwreck and barely escaped with his life. He then resolved to receive Baptism, as he was still a catechumen.
