SIDRACH (Hebrew Sadirakh, Septuagint Σεδράχ). — Babylonian norm imposed on Hananiah (cf. v.), companion of Daniel (Dan. 1:7; 3:12 ff.). It is probably a graphic alteration of the name of the deity Marduk.
