AD LUCEM (ASSOCIATION DES ŒUVRES UNIVERSITAIRES CATHOLIQUES ET MISSIONNAIRES). — Founded in Lille in 1931 among the students of the Catholic university and officially established in 1932, it aims to provide specialized lay personnel (doctors, nurses, engineers, teachers, midwives, agricultural technicians, etc.) to missions according to their needs and requests. Since 1935, it has carried out its activities in Cameroon (Apostolic Vicariate of Yaoundé) with two hospitals, various dispensaries, doctors, etc.; another field of its activity is the Apostolic Vicariate of Hué in Annam.
