ADLUNG, JAKOB. — Musician, born at Bindersleben, near Erfurt, on 14 January 1699, died at Erfurt on 5 July 1762. He was organist (1727), and later professor at the gymnasium in Erfurt (1741). His works are important for the history of music: *Einleitung zu der musikalischen Gelehrtheit* (Erfurt 1758); *Musica mechanica organoei*; *Musikalisches Siebengestirn*, published together with the preceding work in Berlin in 1768 by Albrecht after the author's death.
