ANGELO da Milano (Angelus Hallensis, from Medio-lano, also known as ELI ANGELO). — Lombard Franciscan theologian, born in the 16th century. He taught scholastic and moral theology.
The following works by him are known: *Rosarium seu instructorium sacerdotum et clericorum* (Turin 1616); *Commentarium in prosam seu sequentiam mortuorum* (Turin 1637). More worthy of note is the *Speculum spirituale*, which in a single century (1608–1715) went through six editions, the fifth of which (Ronciglione 1690) was placed on the Index in 1718.
