«BEATE PASTOR PETRE CLEMENS ACI-CIPE». — Hymn of praise for the feasts of St Peter, consisting of a single stanza, in addition to the *doxology*, taken from the hymn attributed to Paulinus II of Aquileia (d. 802) *Felix per omnes festum mundi cardines*, reworked by the revisers of Urban VIII. It is a prayer to St Peter that he may loose us from the bonds of sin and open to us the gate of heaven, he who has had supreme power to loose and to bind. It is a deprecatory paraphrase of the grand scene at Caesarea Philippi, reported by Mt 18.
