BEROUS (Beroius), AUGUSTINUS. – Civil and decretal lawyer, born in Bologna in 1474, died on 15 September 1554. A layman, he was professor of civil law at Bologna in 1504; then, in 1507, lecturer in canon law. He wrote Commentaria e Lecturae on the various books of the Gregorian Decretals, which were also published separately. He is also the author of Consilia and Quaestiones.
