CATTELANI, Vincenzo. — Oratorian, born 13 Oct. 1742 at Reggio Emilia where he lived and died in Sept. 1804. A model priest, he served as examiner of clerics and parish priests and was elected several times superior of his Congregation.
He was an elegant writer and poet in both Latin and Italian. Besides secular poems, he published various booklets of tales, prayers, paraphrases of biblical canticles, poems for monastic professions and priestly ordinations, and an ascetic biography: *Vita della serva di Dio Rosa M. Martini, giovinetta secolare fiorentina morta il 20 febbr. 1769 in età di 22 anni* (Florence 1773).
