MIRACLES OF SAINT STEPHEN. – A collection of miracles of St. Stephen published by a cleric of the church of Uzala in Africa and dedicated to the bishop of the city, Evodius, a friend of St. Augustine. Some of the relics of St. Stephen, discovered in 415 in Jerusalem, were brought to Africa, where they aroused fervent veneration on account of many miracles. Evodius, who shared in the enthusiasm of St. Augustine for the cult of the Protomartyr, had an account of these miracles collected by one of his clerics.
