EBEDIESU ('ABDÍŠO' BAR BÉRIKÁ). — Nestorian metropolitan of Nisibis and Armenia (c. 1290), d. in November 1318. One of the last writers in Syriac.
His works: *Paradiso dell'Eden* (1290), a collection of religious poems; *Il libro della perla sulla verità della religione cristiana* (summarized by J. S. Assemani, edited and almost entirely translated by A. Mai), important for knowledge of Nestorian theology in the 13th century; *Catalogus dogmi autor nesteriani e delle loro opere*; *Trattato di diritto canonico*.
