1. Son of Deuel (De'u'ei), chief of the tribe of Dan at the time of the census conducted by Moses and when the Hebrews left Sinai (Num. 1:14; 2:14). Like the other tribal chiefs, he presented the offerings of the descendants of Dan for the sacrifices (Num. 7:42, 47).

2. Son of Lael, chief of the family of Gershon (Num. 3:24).
