Hajjōgh, Jēhōdhāh ben Dāwīdh. — A Jewish grammarian of the 10th century, regarded as the first expositor of Hebrew grammar. Very little is known about his life (even his name is handed down in various forms), which was spent in Spain, at Córdoba.
Four works by H. survive, written in Arabic, on Hebrew grammar. Among them stand out the two concerning the study of the Hebrew verb, on which he first formulated the theory of triliteralism.
