MISZKOLC (Slovak Miškovec). - Apostolic administration (exarchate) of the parishes of Ruthenian faithful of the Byzantine-Slav rite in Hungarian territory. These are the 24 parishes of the dioceses of Mukačevo and Prešov that remained in Hungary, for which the Holy See erected this exarchate on 27 Oct. 1925. During the Second World War, when Mukačevo was part of Hungary, its respective parishes were reunited with the diocese. After the war, they again formed the aforementioned administration of M. Statistics: parishes 24, faithful 21,281, priests 29.
