REGENTE

REGENTE. – In the Roman Curia this title is given to the superior prelate of the Apostolic Penitentiary (v. APOSTOLICITÀ), of the Apostolic Chancery (v.) and, until recently, of the Apostolic Datary (v.), where the superior prelate now holds the title of Sub-Datary, while the office of Regent is vacant.
