TANQUEERY, ADOLPHE-ALFRED. - Teologo sul-piziano, n. a Blainville (Normandia) il 10 maggio 1854, m. a Aix-en-Provence il 21 febbr. 1932.

Ordained priest in 1878, he taught dogmatic and moral theology at Rodez, Baltimore and at Saint-Sulpice in Paris. Superior of the novitiate (1915–26) at Issy-le-Moulineaux, he devoted himself to studies in ascetical theology. His publications continue to enjoy considerable popularity, in which, alongside solid doctrine and rich documentation, the author’s concern to be practical, up-to-date and responsive to modern needs is clearly evident.
