TEODORO II, POPE. — Elected in Nov. 897, died about three weeks later.
Before his death, however, he had time to vindicate the memory of Pope Formosus, recognizing the validity of the ordinations he had performed in Rome and giving his corpse, which had been cast up on the banks of the Tiber by a swollen river, a worthy burial beside the remains of his predecessors.
