ADOLFO da Denderwindenke. - Ascetic author of the Capuchin Order, born at Denderwindenke (Belgium) on 7 May 1863, died on 7 December 1925. Within the Order he served for many years as Novice Master, definitor, and General Custodian. He specialized in preaching spiritual exercises to religious communities. He was obliged by his superiors to publish his instructions to the novices of the Belgian province.
His work entitled: *Compendium Theologiae ascetica ad vitam sacerdotalem et religiosam rite instituendam, tri-ronum franciscalium usui* (2 vols., Hong Kong and Paris 1921) condenses the science and experience of a long life dedicated to the spiritual education of young religious.
