- Musician, born at Ercsing in Bavaria on 5 January 1788, died in Munich on 16 May 1877. He studied at the Seminary of the Electorate of Munich and, from 1816 until his death, was first organist at the church of St Michael.
He published *Canti sacri in usum studiosae inventutis* and *Fugenlehre für Schulen*. Manuscripts remain in the State Library of Munich: a treatise on composition, two *Registra*, two *Miserere*, a *Stabat*, a *Te Deum*, litanies, verses, graduals, and offertories. He composed studies on the antiquity of reducing certain Gregorian melodies to a single stave per note, as already in the 16th-century *Editio Medicea*.
