DAUGHTERS OF CHARITY OF THE PRECIOUS BLOOD. – Institute founded by Canon Tommaso Maria Fusco at Pagani (Salerno) in 1872. Its purpose is the education of children in nurseries, schools, orphanages, and the care of the sick and infirm. Approved by the Holy See in 1927, it numbers about 500 sisters in 50 houses, all in Italy.
