I CONCORDIA. — Christian art illustrated the scene of Samson killing the lion and taking 300 foxes (Judg. 14–15). It was represented in a 5th-century basilica in Spain, in separate scenes for which Prudentius composed illustrative distichs (Prudentius, Dittocchaeon, nos. 19–20). Enrico Josi
