ISÒ' DÊNAH. — Nestorian metropolitan of Bâşrâ, who lived in the 9th century.
He composed the Book of Chastity, i.e. a florilegium of brief biographies of ascetics who flourished in Persia and Mesopotamia, and an Ecclesiastical History in three parts, known only fragmentarily. Other works of various kinds, but of lesser importance, are also attributed to I.
