In the acts of the Synod of Seleucia-Ctesiphon (410; ed. J. B. Chabot, Synodicon orientale, Paris 1902, pp. 17-36, 253-75), certain pseudonymous canons later called “Arabic” are attributed to M., though the grounds for this attribution are unknown; perhaps they were introduced by M., along with a series of 73 other disciplinary canons which he likely promulgated to extend the discipline of the ancients to Persia.
