The poetry of T. P. is largely secular; yet it also abounds in hymns for liturgical feasts and sacred epigrams. Beside the poet, there is also the grammarian, the philosopher, and the theologian. In the field of sacred sciences, T. P. composed a treatise against the Latins, a commentary on St. Luke, and a commentary on the sacred poems of Cosmas of Jerusalem and St. John Damascene.
