SOMMARIO
Esordio. — 1. Lettere di Bonifacio PP. IX inserite nel presente. — 2. Le medesime conferma. — 3. Clausole solite.

Boniface PP. IX letters concerning the feast of the Visitation of the most holy Virgin Mary confirmed (1).
SUMMARY
Exordium. — 1. Letters of Boniface PP. IX inserted in the present document. — 2. He confirms the same. — 3. Customary clauses.
Nicholas bishop servant of the servants of God, for perpetual remembrance of the matter.

1 The deeds of the Roman Pontiffs, by which the salvation of souls is procured chiefly, ought to be regarded as matters which should be made known to all. (1) From the Registers in the Vatican Archive, Year 1585.

2 § 1. Hence it is that we, honoring the memory of our predecessor of happy recollection, Pope Boniface IX, have caused to be transcribed word for word from his register, which is contained in his register, and to be presented with annotations, which is as follows: Boniface, bishop, servant of the servants of God, for perpetual memory of the matter. The benignity of heaven.... (1).

3 § 2. Moreover, so that the aforesaid tenor of the same letters thus inserted may in every way establish the certainty of the matter or fact, by apostolic authority we decree that that same tenor shall have the same force and the same vigor in all respects as the original letters aforesaid would have, so that the same faith shall be given to the same tenor, whenever and wherever it shall be exhibited or shown: so that the same shall stand firm in all things, just as it would stand with the originals themselves, if they were exhibited or shown. By this, however, we intend to concede nothing new, but only that what was conceded by the said predecessor shall remain in its force.

4 § 3. Let no one whatsoever be permitted to infringe this page of our constitution and intention, etc. Given at Rome at St. Mary Major, in the year of the Lord's incarnation one thousand four hundred fifty-one, on the seventh day before the Kalends of April, in the fifth year of our pontificate.

5 Given on 26 March 1451, pontificate year 5.
