Archaeologist of Sabine origin, he lived in Rome in the first half of the 16th century.He first treated the topography of the Urbe in a short poem in hexameters, *Antiquaria Romana* (Rome 1514); then, Biondo (v.), he composed an extensive treatise on the same subject, *Antiquitates Urbis* (Rome 1527 and often thereafter). In the fourth book there is a chapter *De coemeteriis*, in which he provides a list of 15 cemeteries, different from those previously recorded; the work also contains a chapter *De basilicis et templis sub christiano ritu excitatis*, with a very rich list of churches.
