Sisters of the Assumption of Trebisonda

ASSUNZIONE di TREBISONDA, suore dell’. — Congregation founded in 1887 of Armenian nuns who devoted themselves to the education of youth and charitable works. The congregation remained diocesan, and in 1914 comprised 22 religious, 4 novices, and postulants. Exiled during the war of 1914–18, they were all massacred or dispersed.
