Letter CDXXVIII. To a certain friend.

He thanks God for the prosperous issue of certain affairs.

I know that you are desirous of the information which 1 Compare with this letter No. 391, to the Abbess of Favernay.

Letter CDXXIX.

1 now write to give to you. I thank Him who has worked all our works for our good. We have done a great work and have completed a difficult journey gladly and prosperously, we have dismissed our brethren in joy and peace, abounding in friends and resources, and in favour as I think, both with God and with men. I have brought back Brother G., though not without danger of offending both the Bishop and his brethren. After the time of harvest, which is now in progress, if you have need of him, or rather because you have need of him, he will be at your disposal.
