DASAM GRANTH. – It is an addition to the Adi Granth, the sacred book of the Sikhs (v.), compiled by Govidh Sing (1657–1701), the tenth and last in the series of their guru or masters. It is therefore called the book (Granth) of the tenth (Dasam) guru. It contains songs by the various gurus and also by other masters. It is recognized only by the extremist wing of the Sikhs.
