DASAM GRANTH. — This is a supplement to the Adi Granth, the sacred book of the Sikhs (v.), compiled by Govind Singh (1657-1701), the tenth and last in the series of their gurus or masters. For this reason it is called the book (Granth) of the tenth (Dasam) guru. It contains hymns by various gurus and also by other masters. It is recognized only by the extremist wing of the Sikhs.
