GIOVANNI di SIVIGLIA (Johannes Hispalensis). – A Christian astronomer and mathematician, who flourished in Andalusia in the first half of the 12th century and is often confused with Giovanni Ibn Dāwūd (v.).
In addition to translations of astrological works by Albumasar and Alfergani, he is the author of an Epitome totius astrologiae of 1142 and of the Liber alghorismi de practica arismetricae.
