ASTERIUS, TURCIUS RUFUS. — Western consul in A.D. 494; according to indications in ancient manuscripts, he would have published the Paschale Carmen by Sedulius; but

the news is contradicted by the Paschale Opus, in which the author assumes his poem was already known.
