ASTERIUS, TURCIUS RUFUS. — Consul of the West in A.D. 494; according to indications in ancient codices, he is said to have published the Paschale Carmen of Sedulius; but
the information is contradicted by the Paschale Opus, in which the author presupposes that his poem is already known.
