BAUDRY (BAULDRY) MICHEL. – Liturgist, born at Evron around 1585, died in 1660. He worked to complete the Ritual published by Mgr De Montchal, archbishop of Toulouse, undertaking long and arduous journeys in order to learn the liturgical usages of the various Churches.
The fruit of his research is the Manuale sacrarum caerimoniarum iuxta ritum sanctae romanae ecclesiae (Paris 1637). The work went through six editions and served as a guide to all who have dealt with Roman ceremonies.
