BURKITT, FRANCIS CRAWFORD. - Anglican critic and exegete of the New Testament, b. in London on 3 Sept. 1864; from 1905 holder of the Norris Chair at the University of Cambridge; d. 11 May 1935. He was a contributor to the Journal of Theological Studies.
