BURKITT, Francis Crawford. - Anglican critic and exegete of the New Testament, born in London on 3 September 1864, from 1905 holder of the Norris Chair at the University of Cambridge, died on 11 May 1935. He was a contributor to the *Journal of Theological Studies*.
