ECCLESIASTICAL CONTENTION. - Review, fortnightly at first, then monthly, of doctrine and jurisprudence in ecclesiastical matters and charitable works. It was founded in 1900 in Genoa, under the direction of Prof. Luigi Gallo, by a group of lawyers who made up precisely the Office of Ecclesiastical Litigation, which had been established in 1893 by the archbishop of that diocese, Tommaso Reggio, for the defense of the interests of ecclesiastical bodies and charitable institutions and for related counsel. It suspended publication at the end of 1942.
