FERNÁNDEZ DE MINAYA, Lope. — Augustinian from Toledo, who lived in the 15th century. A gifted orator, he is a classic of Spanish literature for his two treatises *Espejo del alma*, “an opus optimae frugis plenum” (Pérez Bayer), and *Libro de las tribulaciones*, with which he ranks among the great Spanish ascetical writers.
