IRISH ECCLESIASTICAL RECORD. - Monthly review published in Dublin, founded by Cardinal Cullen in 1864 and first appearing the following year. It underwent an interruption in the period 1877–79, but resumed regularly in 1880.
It publishes articles on theological, historical, literary, and philosophical issues, as well as a series of Notes and Queries on theology, canon law, and liturgy. From time to time it also includes a selection of the most important documents from the Acta Apostolicae Sedis. It has an index of the articles and notes that appeared in the review from 1865 to 1922 (London 1925).
