IRISH ECCLESIASTICAL RECORD. – Monthly journal published in Dublin, founded by Cardinal Cullen in 1864 and first appearing the following year. It underwent an interruption during the period 1877–79, but resumed regular publication in 1880.
It publishes articles on problems of theology, history, literature, and philosophy, as well as a series of Notes and queries on matters of theology, canon law, and liturgy. From time to time it also includes a selection of the most important documents of the AAS. It has an index of the articles and notes published in the journal from 1865 to 1922 (London 1925).
