SELEUCIDI. – Dynasty that ruled in Asia Minor from 312 to 65 B.C. The Seleucid kingdom, which underwent numerous territorial changes during its long existence, Syria (v.) and had Antioch (v.) as its capital, founded by the progenitor of the dynasty, Seleucus I.
