STUDIUM

STUDIUM. — Cultural journal, which began publication in 1905 as the organ of the Italian Catholic University Federation (v.). Since 1933 it has been an expression of the cultural activity of the Graduates’ Movement of Catholic Action, RIGHETTI, IGINO (v.), Renzo E. de Sanctis, Sergio Paronetto, Aldo Moro, and currently by G. B. Scaglia.

It publishes articles of a spiritual nature and moral assessments of events; it follows and comments on expressions of culture and life in their aspects of greatest interest and significance for the cultivated layperson; in its “Reviews,” it presents scientific activity and moral and practical problems; it welcomes polemical exchanges and, in its chronicles, examines events concerning the life of the Church, national and international life, and social problems.
